| ARTISTS BIO
Debra A. Bickford graduated in 1979 from Portland School of Art, now Maine College of Art, with a BFA in Printmaking and, in 1985 from the University of Southern Maine with a BS in Art Education.
Debra has been a certified K-12 visual arts teacher for over 23 years and is currently teaching full time in a Southern Maine High School.
The artist has been a member of the Maine Art Education Association since 1983 and, has recently become an active board member. The MAEA Fall Conference at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts on Deer Isle Mainehas allowed Debra to study many art processeswith some of the finest artist instructors in the region.
Debra has lived in the Buxton/Hollis area for more than 35 years.
Her imagery is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and her interest in environmental issues.
