Artist's Statement
I feel a deep connection to our natural world.
To me the beauty, balance and, cadence
that nature provides is therapeutic.
I am highly interested in the preservation
and appreciation of our environment.
The natural world is the ultimate creation,
an unlimited source of inspiration.
I am especially attracted to remote areas
where fewer people venture.
All of my drawings, pastels and, watercolors
do not become final acrylic paintings but most of
my acrylic finals have had many preliminary
work ups using these mediums.
The exception would be my Acrylic Photo Quote Series.
These are impromptu collage, incorporating
digital imagery, highly textured hand made
acrylic papers and my favorite quotes.
